The 1999 Creekers' Choice Awards
I don't really know exactly what to say about the 1999 CCA except, "Wow." That pretty much sums it up. I was completely overwhelmed to be nominated for so many awards, and extremely honored to win as many as I did. I know how many good fan fic writers are out there -- a lot of them are my friends, and I am amazed by their talent everyday. So I'm not sure that I really deserve all of this attention, but I do appreciate it, and thank everyone who voted in the CCA.

Liz has fast become one of the busiest writers of Dawson's Creek Fanfic, juggling two websites as well as her writing. Her ability to write the characters in a very frank and true to life way has earned her a very large and loyal fan base, which has only been helped by her flexibility in her writing. She is a loyal Dawson/Joey fan, but has been known to write Pacey/Joey fanfic, Joey/Chris fanfic as well as some other uncommon pairings. (Joey and Jonothan Moxon anyone?). Her stories include The Opposite of Sex, Same Time Next Year, As Time Goes By, Endless Summer, The Dawson Show, The Games People Play, The Last Place God Made and Lost Scenes of Dawson's Creek.

Like all of her other fanfics, The Opposite of Sex by Liz Woolf is one that appealed to a wide audience. Its opening paragraphs gave no indication as to how it would end, yet it managed to keep us enthrawled until the very last. As well as being cleverly written, The Opposite Of Sex manages to make good use of a storyline that was partially set up on the actual show, and give it what was in some peoples' opinions a better conclusion.

What do you get when you cross a 10 year high school reunion and two star-crossed lovers who haven't spoken in almost that long? Liz Woolf's wonderful Dawson/Joey fanfic, As Time Goes By. Watch the sparks and the memories fly as Dawson and Joey meet for the first time in nearly a decade.

What if your entire life was a TV show, and everyone you knew and loved were actors, except you didn't know about it? That is the basic plotline for The Dawson Show, a fanfic about the making of a TV show where the star has no idea he is one. There are new beginnings for the new season, and new faces too, so read along as the cast and crew of the world's most loved TV show, work to keep the ratings up, the storylines fresh, and their star clueless.

Two angry people; two broken hearts; one long summer. What happens when a lot of unhappy people make some very wrong choices? In this fanfic by Liz, we find out just that. In a classic tale of hurt and anger mingled with lust and sex, she explores the escapades of a very different Joey Potter; a Joey Potter who is closed off to the world and its inhabitants; a Joey Potter intent on punishing herself for some unknown crime. But how far will she go with this punishment? And who will she drag along for the ride?

What would you say to the most important person in your life if you knew it was the last thing you could ever tell them? In her fanfic, The Last Place God Made, Liz attempts to answer that question, and show us the beauty and pleasure of true love.

It's West Canaan, TX vs. Capeside, MA. Does anyone else smell trouble? In The Games People Play, the Capeside Crew travel to Providence for the National Academic Bowl finals. It is there that they meet the team from West Canaan, Texas, which is captained by Jon Moxon, the star quarterback who bears an uncanny resemblance to their own Dawson Leery. Liz's tale of good-old-fashioned rivalry is fun to read, and gives us an interesting spin on what Dawson REALLY thinks about football players.

"Just like reality...except made for TV" This is the line used to describe The Dawson Show. This ground-breaking fanfic tells the story of Dawson Leery, the unknowing star of the world's most popular TV show. Explore the adventures of some of the business' busiest actors as they throw a spanner into the works of their star, and then try to keep up with the repercussions.

Sex. Have I got your attention yet? Sex, as most teenagers know, is a major turning point in your life. And when the one who you thought would be your first lover reaches that turning point with someone else, it can be devestating. In The Opposite Of Sex, Liz creates a story that could quite possibly be acted out in any high school.

Jack & Jen: An Award of Excellence

Beth's Comment: This is my favorite of Liz's stories. It's set at the ten year reunion of Joey, Dawson, Jen, Pacey, Andie, and Jack's high school class. Liz does a believeable job of showing us how two best friends could be estranged for ten years. Plus, she's added a couple of priceless Jack scenes. Both he and Jen are portrayed with a lot of sensitivity and understanding here.
